Arezzo, Italy—23 May 1993 | How can one be a faithful Christian in a world without much Christianity?

How does one maintain faith in an environment that disregards faith and considers itself in no need of faith?

Is it possible to keep the flame of faith burning in such circumstances?

We have to swim against the current. Faith is no longer self-evident. It is a choice, a belief in decision-making.

Faith is like gold: It is purified in fire. Whoever wants to be real must take his way through the cross of Christ. (1 Peter 1: 7)
