Integrity = An Integrated Response to Resolving Problems

Integrity is like the mortar that keeps us together. Whether we want to or not and like it or not, we’re one family united in faith. Are we always one in the spirit? Do we agree on everything? Of course not!  The greatest gift God has given us is our own free will. We are not meant to be sheep, following other sheep. Despite our differences, we’re one. Divergence, with integrity, stirs people of God to proactively build bridges toward convergence.

The fabric of redemption is family, a big family. We are among brothers and sisters in faith. Are we a big happy family? Not really! Certainly, not always. Nonetheless, “How wonderful it is, how pleasant, for God’s people to live together in harmony! (Psalm 133: 1 Good News Translation)”

Divergence comes from God. It’s His ‘middle name,’ Hayah Asher Hayah, monolithically construed in English as “I am that which I am.” In Hebrew, it means “I will be who or how or where I will be,” meaning, “don’t think you can predict me. I am a God who is going to surprise you.”

Trust God! Pray! Seek God’s wisdom. When you read scripture, let God speak to you. Listen!.
