In Rima Najjar’s, ‘The Zionist Idea has Never Been More Terrifying than It Is Today,’ she diplomatically asserts, in politically correct terms, “… there exists a complex picture of the relationship between Judaism and Zionism.” Permit me to call the beast by its name. “NOTHING IS MORE ANTI-SEMITIC THAN [MODERN DAY] ZIONISM (Page 33; Kindle Location 465).” Modern-day Zionism is Pagan-Zionism. The Israeli modus operandi, “to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10: 10),” defiles all that is good in our Abrahamic Faiths. Nonetheless, many Jews and Christians idolize ultra-nationalism, if not radical ultra-nationalism, as though there isn’t a Christ-like approach to return to the land based on the Prophetic Ideals written in the Old and New Covenants? Championed and validated by many Christians in the West, Modern Israel has bastardized one of the most sacred biblical words, ‘Zionism’ (Page 32; Kindle location 446) Simply stated, ‘Biblical Zionism’ means striving in the path of God (Isaiah 52: 1-2), to reign with righteousness and justice (Genesis 18: 19), doing God’s work; on earth as in Zion (heaven) (Matthew 6: 10); God’s people, ordinary people doing extraordinary things; exemplary in every way, the Light Among Nations (Jeremiah 31:6). In short, bear witness; the walk, not the talk (Matthew 24: 14).
Pagan Zionism contests the will of God. It is a frail human doctrine – “what is mine is mine; what is yours, is mine also”—, reinvented by the Party of the Pharisees comprised of like-minded Christians and Jews. Biblical Zionism, taught by the Prophets in the Old Testament and by Jesus Christ in the New Testament, rebukes Pagan Zionism.’ Pagan Zionism has split many Jewish families apart. Worse, Pagan Zionists, dare in the glare of world television, torment and inter the indigenous Palestinians, many of whom are direct descendants of the Ancient Israelites, into concentrated encampments to live a hell on earth. Israelis cannot love Israel enough unless they also love Palestine, all of Palestine and I’m not referring to merely the granules of sand sculpturing the land; and, the same is true on the other side. Palestinians cannot love Palestine enough unless they recognize the divine inspired and inherent goodness of Israel, despite those few rotten apples, the ruling parties on all sides of the Divide, spoiling the bunch. And, all the sand in Israel and all the sand in Palestine are ONE. So, permit others to call the Land by the name of their conscience. (Page 32; Kindle Locations 422-426).
It is time for real Zionism … Striving in the Path of God, To Reign with Righteousness and Justice. It is Time for Real Jihad … “Striving in the Path of God … al-jihad fi sabil Allah” Jihad, Arabic: جهاد jihād, an expression of hope, literally means striving or struggling, especially with a praiseworthy aim. ‘Jihad’ frequently appears in the Qur’an with and without military connotations, idiomatically articulated as “striving in the path of God (al-jihad fi sabil Allah).” The biblical word ‘Zion’ is just as sacred as the word ‘Jihad’ with strikingly similar meanings and connotations that connect Jews, Christians and Muslims in our Abrahamic Faiths.
True Christians are true Zionists. Christians ‘reside’ spiritually in Zion, His Spiritual Kingdom (Hebrew 12: 22; Revelations 21: 10-26). God’s Spirit resides in their souls. Ideally, Christians live on Earth as in Zion (Heaven). Modern Israel is NOT Zion. (Page xi; Kindle Locations 41-42).
